Day 1
Jaisalmer

Arrive at Jaisalmer, check in to the hotel. Overnight in Hotel.
Jaisalmer is an important destination of the western state of India, Rajasthan. A desert city, it was founded by the Bhatti Rajput chieftain Rawal Jaisal in the year 1156. Jaisalmer could be regarded as the western sentinel of entire India and a place worth visiting to get an idea of the native Rajasthan. Located at the heart of the great Thar Desert, it offers the visitor an enchanting world of fable, color, and history. Moreover, the magnificent wood-and stone-carved mansions and buildings display the love and interest Rajputs had for the fine arts.

Day 2
Jaisalmer

Morning sightseeing tour of Jaisalmer The golden rays of the setting sun, the colorfully adorned locals, the massive forts and mansions, the extremely fascinating craftsmanship, Rajput havelis, all these make Jaisalmer a place of must visit in Rajasthan. Moreover, a visit to the Jaisalmer Fort (the second oldest fort in Rajasthan after Chittaur), Patwon ki Haveli, (the grandest haveli of Jaisalmer), Desert Culture center, and museums give you some glimpse of this small town’s past. The Jain temples meet your religious taste; Salim Singh ki haveli and Nathmal-ki-haveli give you some more idea of the haveli architecture of the town. Besides these, Gadsisar Lake is also an interesting spot that you must visit in this desert city. Overnight in Hotel.

Day 3
Sam Sand Dunes Jaisalmer

Jaisalmer is a prime destination in the Desert Circuit of Rajasthan, renowned for a Living Fort and Sand Dunes. Proceed 45 km further from Jaisalmer to Sam Dunes. Enjoy the sunset on the dunes, camel ride. Evening campfire with Rajasthani folk music & dance. Overnight stay at a camp in Sand Dunes and enjoy a complete desert experience.
Sam Sand Dunes, Ideal for viewing sunsets, these sites will also give you a chance to capture the picturesque sand dunes in your camera.

Day 4
Jaisalmer to Jodhpur(280km /5 hrs)

Drive to Jodhpur early in the morning. On arrival at Jodhpur, check-in at the hotel. The rest of the day is free for leisure or you can visit the local market. An overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5
Jodhpur

After breakfast, we will visit the Mehrangarh Fort. Founded by Rao Jodha in 1459, Mehrangarh Fort is one of the largest forts in Jodhpur. It is the most glorious fort in Jodhpur as well as in Rajasthan. Located on a 150 m high hill, the fort is a major attraction among the tourist in India. It is 5 km below through a circular road from the city.

Further, we will visit The Jaswant Thada.

Jaswant Thada is an elegant marble monument of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. Built by his son Maharaja Sardar Singh in memory of his father, the monument is also known as the Taj Mahal of Marwar. The main center of the memorial has been built like a temple with intricately carved marble stone.

Later, we will visit Umaid Bhawan Palace.

Built by Maharaja Umaid Singh (1929 – 1942), Umaid Bhawan Palace was named after him. This wonderful Palace is also named as Chittar Palace due to the local chittar sandstone used in its building. It is one of the great examples of Indo-colonial and art deco architecture of the 30s. The exclusive feature of this palace is that the manually chiselled sandstone blocks have been put together in a special system of interlocking. A part of this ancient palace has been now converted into a hotel. The other remains on the hotel is converted into an excellent museum that houses model weapons, aeroplanes, antique clocks, priceless crockery, bob watches and hunting trophies. Both sections of the palace together retain the ambience of royal splendour.

Day 6
Jodhpur

In the morning after breakfast, we will drive back to your home destination.

Rajasthan literally means “The Land of Kings”. It is the largest Indian state by area and the seventh-largest by population. Rajasthan is located on the northwestern side of India, where it comprises most of the wide and inhospitable Thar Desert (also known as the “Great Indian Desert”) and shares a border with the Pakistani provinces of Punjab. • Kalibangan in Rajasthan, located beside the confluence of Drishadvati and Saraswati Rivers features the ruins of the civilizations that were settled in the region during the prehistoric and pre-Mauryan times.
• Mandodari, Ravana’s wife and the queen of his empire were from Mandore in Rajasthan. Ravana Chavri is the site where the couple vowed for their lifetime
• Bhangarh, located in the Alwar district is one of the most haunted forts in India. The fort can be visited only during the daytime.
• The world’s 9th largest subtropical desert is in Rajasthan.
• Kumbhalgarh Fort was established by Maharana Kumbha. The fort is located at a height of 1,100 meters on a hilltop with parameter walls extending 36 kilometers. The palace accounts to have the longest fortification in the world.
• Hawa Mahal, the architectural marvel made up of red and pink sandstone was constructed by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in the 18th century. It literally means Palace of Breeze.
• One of the most amazing facts about Rajasthan is that a few of its major cities are color-coded. Jaipur is called the Pink City. The blue-colored houses in Jodhpur & Jaisalmer are the Golden City which seeks its inspiration from the color of Thar Desert.
• Luni River originating in the Pushkar Valley and flows through the Thar Desert to meet in the marshy lands of Kutch. The river has a high amount of salinity in its water.
• Rajasthan is home to 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites which include Chittorgarh Fort, Kumbhalgarh Fort, Ranthambore Fort, Gagron Fort, Amber Fort, Jaisalmer Fort, Keoladeo National Park, and Jantar Mantar. Apart from the national park, all the other mentioned historical sites exhibit the marvelous architecture of the Royal Rajputs.
• One of the most luxurious trains in India, the palace on wheels was initiated in the year 1982 by the Indian Railways and Rajasthan tourism development corporation
• Kuldhara is a secluded village, located in Rajasthan at a distance of 18 kilometers from Jaisalmer city. According to studies, the place was abandoned in the early 19th century due to an earthquake. However, locals narrate a different story. They believe that the residents cursed the village and fled on a dark night fearing the wrath of the Diwan.

Rajasthan Climate – The Climate of Rajasthan in northwestern India is generally arid or semi-arid and features fairly hot temperatures over the year with extreme temperatures in both summer and winter.
Summer:
Summer lasts from April to June, when maximum temperatures may reach from 32 to 46 °C It’s hot & Very harsh. On the day, hot winds blow from the west and these winds are called ‘Loo’
Monsoon:
Junto September: Temperatures range from 35 to 40 °C. Moderate rainfall. Warm, Hot, and increased humidity levels.
Post Monsoon:
The Post monsoon season lasts from October to November. The temperature during this season ranges from 33 degrees Celsius to 38 degrees Celsius. Hot but bearable.
Winter:
December to March. Temperature ranges from 04 to 25 °C. Cold & dry. Places like Mount Abu sometimes see the temperature fall to 0 °C during winters.
Best Time to Visit:
If you wish to enjoy your trip to Rajasthan the most, it is best to visit Rajasthan between October and March. This is because during this period the weather remains very pleasant. It is neither too hot nor too cold.
Local Languages: Marwari is spoken by the majority of the people. Rajasthani comprises of five primary dialects – Marwari, Mewari, Dhundhari, Mewati, and Harauti along with several other forms. Hindi is widely spoken in all places. People also speak English and some other International languages at Tourist Places.
Clothing: Traditional attire for Rajasthani women is ghagra, choli (also called Kanchi or Kurti), and odhni. The ghagra is a full-length, embroidered, and pleated skirt, which comes in a variety of colours, prints, and fabrics, such as silk, cotton, georgette and crêpe. The traditional outfit for Rajasthani men is dhoti and angarkha, or pajama-kurta. Now, most of the women in cities are wearing Salwar Kameez, Jeans and Pants. Men are wearing T-shirts, Cotton shirts and pants.

How to Reach

By air – If you want to reach Rajasthan fast the best option is to travel by air. The main airport in Rajasthan is the Jaipur International Airport. Besides this, there are two other airports in Udaipur and Jodhpur. There are also a number of domestic airports in Rajasthan from where you can catch flights easily from one city to another.
By rail – Major cities & small cities also are well connected with other parts of the country by broad gauge lines. Rajasthan is also well-connected by rail and the major stations here are in Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, and Ajmer. Though, the busiest railway station of Rajasthan is in Jaipur. Ajmer Jn (AII), Udaipur City (UDZ), Bikaner, and Jodhpur Jn (JU) are the popular railway stations.

By road – One of the most cost-effective and convenient ways of reaching is via well-maintained motor-able roads. A number of state and private buses ply at frequent intervals from most cities in nearby states. Rajasthan has twenty national highways, which ensure a smooth traveling experience. The most well-connected national highway in Rajasthan is NH8 that connects to Delhi, Udaipur, Jaipur, Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, and many other cities.
Moving around: By bus, Rajasthan Tourism operates daily bus services for tourists in Jaipur city. Taxi- One can also hire a car for self-drive or a private taxi to travel within Rajasthan & to nearby states. Big cities also have auto-rickshaws within the city. Small places also have cycle Rickshaws. There are shared auto available at some places

Health Precautions

Tap water is not certified to be potable in Rajasthan hence drinking RO treated water or mineral water is recommended. Try to avoid roadside food, fruit juices, etc. Mineral water is recommended. If you are from a foreign country, you may not be used to the drinking water here. A bottle of mineral water which is cheap and widely available usually provided in flasks in hotel rooms. Order the same when you are at a restaurant. As far as possible, avoid drinking any kind of water or juices from roadside carts and vendors. India, being primarily a Hindu country, beef & pork is also not easily available. Eat non-vegetarian food only in good restaurants. What you get in smaller places is generally of dubious quality though tastes quite yummy, but maybe risky.

Rajasthan is Expensive due to the inflow of a lot of International tourists. You should plan to spend around ₨1800 to Rs 2500 per day on your vacation in Rajasthan, which is the average daily price based on the expenses of other visitors. The meal cost per day is RS 675/- in Rajasthan. If you choose the stay in Palace hotels they are certainly very expensive

Permits

Tourists don’t require a special permit until unless you don’t go to some restricted area. These areas are rarely visited by tourists. Border areas or high securities area of Rajasthan is a restricted area and permits are required.

Most of the establishments accept Credit cards. ATM is widely available in most cities & tourist places. If visiting National Parks, Desert safari areas keep cash handy with you. Check with a local travel agent for safaris.

Most of the major mobile service providers offer a wide range of services. Internet connectivity is good. Major hotels have WI FI facilities for guests. Being a major progressive state Rajasthan has good 4 G connectivity.
