Itinerary
Arrive at Chandigarh and proceed for Narkanda.
Enjoy the comforts of luxury, As your driver takes you from the plains into the mountains
where you get your first taste of the Himalayas. Narkanda is a very popular tourist place in
Himachal Pradesh. It has an average elevation of 2621 meters about (8600 feet). Hatu Peak is just
5-7kms from Narkanda at the height of 11000ft. Which is the most place of attraction among tourists
or visitors. Apple is the main crash crop here.

Today we proceed to Sangla Enroute take a detour for Sarahanis to visit Bhimkali temple, an
old wooden temple considered one of the Shaktipeetha temple. It offers excellent Himalayan
views. Reach Sangla by late afternoon/evening.

Today we drive to Tabo, en route we will visit Chitkul. Distance from Sangla to Chitkul is 25
Kms, around 1 Hour. Today, we drive on the Hindustan – Tibet Highway, towards Tabo. In
between we will visit Nako – originally known as ‘Kyangoh’ or ‘Gateway to the Holy Place’, We
later drive to Tabo – home to the famous Tabo Monastery. Overnight at a homestay in Tabo.

Join the morning prayers at the Tabo Monastery which was constructed in 996 AD. It is a
complex that consists of 9 Temples, 23 Chortens, a monk’s chamber, and an extension that
houses the nun’s chamber. There is also a modern Gompa and a painting school founded by the
Dalai Lama.
Check out of the hotel in Tabo and head to Kaza (3870 meters above sea level). On your way to
Kaza), visit Dhankar Gompa, the traditional capital of Spiti. This hilltop fort that overlooks the
Spiti Valley used to be a jail earlier.

After breakfast take a trip to Ki Monastery. Ki Monastery, situated at the foot of steep ridges
and on the left bank of river Spiti, is the biggest Gelugpa Sect Monastery in Spiti. A post 13th
century construction, the three-story structure consists largely of storage rooms at the bottom
level while the middle floor houses Dukhang – the Assembly Hall, and the uppermost floor has
another temple on one side and Lama’s quarters on the other side of an open terrace.
Afterward, take a scenic drive to Kibber. From Kibber, the pastures are spread over hundreds of
square kilometers. After rubber takes this road about 9 kilometers we will reach the small village
of Gette. If you want to enter the village, you will have to leave your vehicle on the road and trek
for about a kilometer.

After breakfast, we drive to some of the highest inhabited regions of the world. The highest
village in Asia, Komik, which literally translates to ‘eye of a snow cock’, is situated at a height of
4513 meters. This farming village has a population of 84 people, living in utter isolation, cut-off
from the rest of the world for most parts of the year.

After Breakfast, we shall leave for Kalpa. Kalpa is the district headquarters of Kinnaur and was
once the favorite getaway of Lord Dalhousie.
By the side of Kalpa is a 79-foot rock formation that resembles a Shivling that changes the color
as the day passes and is visible to the naked eye on a clear day. In the evening, visit the Buddhist
Gompa – Hu Bu Lan Kar,
Return to your hotel for dinner.

Today after breakfast we will drive for Shimla via the local beauty of Kinnaur via Narkanda, Kufri &
Shimla Dropping.Enjoy the evening at the ridge, a great remembrance of the colonial period.

After breakfast, proceed to Chandigarh. On arrival, check into your hotel & after some rest,
proceed to visit Rock Garden and Pinjore garden.

After Breakfast, you will be dropped at the Chandigarh Railway Station/Airport.
