Day 1
ARRIVE SRINAGAR

Welcome to Srinagar: – On arrival at the Srinagar get welcome by the Our representative and later get transferred to the hotel. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset. Night stay at Hotel

Day 2
SRINAGAR-SONMARG- SRINAGAR (90 KMS / 3 HRS ONE WAY)

After breakfast full-day excursion to Sonmarg which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. It will take about 3 hours to reach Sonmarg. Sonmarg is the last stop of the Kashmir District. From here starts the territory of Ladakh. Situated at an altitude of 2743 m above sea level, Sonmarg is absolutely true to its name, which means ‘Meadow of Gold’. The moment you enter Sonmarg, the first thing that you will notice will be the snow-covered mountain that forms the backdrop of the town. Covered with alpine trees from all sides, Sonmarg has a few of the loveliest flower collections in Jammu and Kashmir. You may take a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. Return to Srinagar Hotel by the evening for an overnight stay.

Day 3
SRINAGAR - GULMARG (60 Kms / 2 hrs )

After a healthy breakfast in the morning check out from the hotel and proceed to Gulmarg reach there and check-in at the hotel, an afternoon full-day tour of Gulmarg which is one of the most beautiful summer resorts in the valley. It is also popular for its golf course (in summer), the highest in the world, and skiing during the winter season. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have a Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. In the evening come back to the hotel, Night stays at Hotel.

Day 4
GULMARG – PAHALGAM (149 Kms / 5 hrs)

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and leave Gulmarg and drive to Pahalgam 2440Mtrs (Vale of Kashmir) on the way visit Saffron fields and Avantipur ruins which is eleven hundred years old temple. By lunch time reach Pahalgam which is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. After lunch enjoys the nature charm of the valley. Night stay in Pahalgam.

Day 5
PAHALGAM

Day to enjoy the beauty of the Pahalgam valley. It is Kashmir’s premier resort, cool even during the height of summer. Pahalgam is surrounded by many places of interest, and because the resort is set between fairly steep hills, it is worth hiring a pony rather than walking. The most beautiful of these is the huge, undulating meadow of Baisaran, surrounded by thickly wooded forests of pine.
Night stay in Pahalgam.

Day 6
PAHALGAM - SRINAGAR (95 Kms/4 Hrs)

After breakfast leaves Pahalgam and drives to Srinagar, Check in to Hotel half-day tour of world famous Mughal Gardens visiting the Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure) and Shalimar Bagh (Adobe of love). Return to houseboat for hot lunch. In the afternoon Shikara ride on The Dal Lake to enjoy the beauty that God has graced this city with which is often compared to Venice. Also, get a view of some very interesting places around the Lake. In the evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake to enjoy the sunset. Night stay at Houseboat.

Day 7
SRINAGAR

After breakfast leaves and transfers to the airport to board your flight back home. Tour ends with sweet memories.

FACTS

The ancient Mughal garden, Chashme Shahi, was built in 1632 AD. The garden is home to a spring, whose waters are believed to possess medicinal properties.
Vaishno Devi Temple in Katra, Jammu, which is visited by over 81 lakh pilgrims every year, has been awarded the Cleanest Religious Place Award.
Shikara stays are a unique experience highly recommended and usually included in good Kashmir packages
The traditional Kashmiri dress, Pheran, the unique copper kettles called Samovar, the earthen fire pots wrapped in woven wicker called Kangiri, handcrafted walnut furniture, and souvenirs, etc. are some uncommon things to check out.
Amarnath Cave in Jammu and Kashmir has natural Shiv Lingam made of ice which is over 5000 years old and is a prominent Hindu pilgrimage destination. According to a popular legend, the Amarnath cave was discovered by a Muslim shepherd, Buta Malik.
The ruins of Martand Sun Temple are located in Kashmir. It was built around the 8th century CE.
India’s first floating post office was built on a houseboat at the western edge of Dal Lake in Srinagar

TRAVEL TIPS

Jammu & Kashmir Climate – Due to the variety of terrain Kashmir has different seasons.
Summer:
The summer season is from March to May. The Jammu region has a subtropical climate and the summer is hot. The temperature starts soaring in the month of March and is at its peak in the month of April. The maximum temperature in summer can go as high as 45 degrees Celsius. Kashmir is quite pleasant with the temperature varying from 14 to 30 degrees Celsius.
Monsoon:
The monsoon season is from June to August. Jammu enjoys a good amount of rain during the monsoon. However, Kashmir doesn’t receive much rain and the weather is fairly pleasant during these months.
Autumn
The Autumn seasons is in September & October. The average temperature dips down and the weather becomes pleasant. The temperature varies from 20 degree Celsius to 30 degree Celsius
Winter:
The Winter season is from November to February. November marks the onset of the winter season in both the Jammu and Kashmir regions. There is chilly wind sneaking into Jammu. The temperature is usually between 4 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius. This is the best time for sightseeing in Jammu for those who care for snow Kashmir witnesses heavy snowfall in winters with temperatures varying from -2 degrees Celsius to 10 degrees Celsius.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

March to August is the best time to visit Kashmir. Often called “The heaven on Earth”, due to its pristine beauty. Yet, not all seasons are best in terms of visiting, due to it being a cold region. Two best seasons to visit Kashmir. Spring (March-early May) and Summer (early May To August). However, if you are eager to see the snowfall & snow sports then winter is the best month to travel to Kashmir. Just keep in mind the harsh winters.
Local Languages:. Kashmiri, Dogri, Urdu, Hindi, and English are widely spoken. regional languages like Gojri, Pahari, and Punjabi are also spoken by many.
Clothing: The traditional Kashmiri dress, is Pheran. There is a dupatta, tunic, and even churidar and salwar along with a cap which the people in Jammu wear. This tunic is then tied around the waist. Men also wear the same but for better fitting, they have kurtas and pajamas. It is said that turbans and kamarbands are amongst the elders who wear them.

CULTURE & FESTIVALS

Jammu & Kashmir is the land of festivals. There are many local festivals by local people. However, people visit the Tulip festival largely. Hemis Festival by Buddhist people, Id Ul Fitr by Muslims. There is also a Shikara festival to boost tourism, the Sindhu Darshan festival & also Gurez festival in Gurez valley.
