Itinerary

Day 1
ARRIVAL BAGDOGRA IXB - GANGTOK (GANGTOK 5412 Ft / 1650 Mts, 130 Kms / 04 to 05 Hrs Drive)

On arrival at New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts), you will be met by our local representative, who will assist you to board the vehicle to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok. Check-in and Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2
GANGTOK – EXCURSION TO TSHANGU LAKE & BABA MANDIR

Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43 Kms / 02 Hrs Drive one way) & New Baba Mandir (13100 Ft / 3994 Mts / 18 Kms / 01 Hrs further drive from Tshangu Lake)
– Today after breakfast, start for a full-day excursion to Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir. Return back to Gangtok. Overnight at the hotel.
Note:
1. Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card &Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, School Id / College Id is a must. Original to be brought with self while traveling.
2. In case a visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible, due to a landslide or any other unforeseen reasons, alternative sightseeing will be provided.
3. Process for Foreigner, OCI & PIO Cardholder are completely different, kindly inform us well in advance to plan out the itinerary accordingly.
Optional:
1. Nathula Pass (14137 Ft / 4310 Mts) Indo China Border, the visit is limited to Indian nationals only, allowed on the basis of advance permit & on extra cost. For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

Day 3
GANGTOK - LACHUNG

Lachung (8000 Ft / 2439 Mts, 125 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)
– After breakfast, Checkout and then drive to Lachung. On the way to visit Tashi view point, Seven sister’s waterfall (Subjected to the operation of the normal route). On arrival at Lachung, check-in, and Overnight at the hotel.
– Break for lunch en-route on a direct payment basis.

1. Documents for Lachung&Lachen – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card &Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, School Id / College Id is a must. Original to be brought with self while traveling.
2. Process for Foreigner, OCI & PIO Cardholder are completely different, kindly inform us well in advance to plan out the itinerary accordingly.

Day 4
LACHUNG - EXCURSION TO YUMTHANG

Yumthang Valley (11800 Ft / 3598 Mts / 25 Kms / 1 ½ hour’s drive one way)
– After early breakfast proceed for a half-day excursion to Yumthang Valley. Back to hotel, for late lunch. It advises able to go for an evening walk around the village for body acclimatization. Overnight at the hotel.
Optional:
1. Yumesamdong, popularly known as Zero Point (15300 Ft / 4665 Mts, 24 kms / 1.5 to 02 Hrs ahead drive from Yumthang one way). For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

Day 5
LACHUNG - GANGTOK

Gangtok (5412 Ft / 1650 Mts, 120 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)
– After breakfast, checkout & then transfer to Gangtok. On reaching Gangtok, check-in, and Overnight at the hotel.
– Break for lunch en-route on a direct payment basis.

Day 6
GANGTOK - PELLING

Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts, 116 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)
– Go for a half day sightseeing of Gangtok covering Jhakri Water Fall, Research Institute of Tibetology (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays) and Flower Show (Closed on Saturday & Sunday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays).
– Later transfer to Pelling. On reaching Pelling, check-in & overnight at hotel.

Note:
1. Alternative sightseeing of Bakthang Waterfalls, Nam Nang ViewPoint will be provided in place of the Research Institute of Tibetology& the Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom.

Day 7
PELLING

Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts)
– After breakfast, proceed for Pelling local sightseeing covering Pemayangtse Monastery, Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk. Post lunch; proceed for sightseeing of Rimbi Waterfall, Khecheopalri Lake &Kanchanjunga Waterfall. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8
PELLING - DARJEELING

Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts, 125 Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)
– After breakfast, checkout & then transfer to Darjeeling. On reaching Darjeeling, check-in, and Overnight at the hotel.
Optional:
1. Detour for Sing shore Bridge (5904 Ft / 1800 Mts, 26 Kms / 1.5 to 2 Hrs drive one way from Pelling). For rate, kindly refer to Supplement & Optional Cost Column, given below the main package cost.

Day 9
DARJEELING

Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts)
– *Early morning at around 0400am (subject to clear weather) for visit to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world). Back to the hotel for breakfast.
– After breakfast go for half-day sightseeing of local Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Tenzing&Gombu Rock. Panoramic tour of Tea Estate.
– Back to Hotel, Overnight at hotel.

1. * Tiger Hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning. In case of non-availability of coupons, we will provide the Tiger Hill visit after breakfast.

Day 10
DARJEELING - BAGDOGRA

New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts, 100 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive)

After breakfast transfer to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB), for onwards connection.

FACTS

• It shares a border with only 1 state – West Bengal in the south. It also shares an international boundary with 3 countries i.e. Bhutan in the east, Nepal in the west, and China in the north which also happens to be the maximum number of international borders shared by any Indian State

• Nathu La pass is the key geographical feature of this state. Nathu La pass is a part of the ancient Silk Route which once was an important trade route connecting India with the far reaches of Tibet
• There are many hot springs in Sikkim which are known for their medicinal & therapeutic reasons
• Sikkim is known for its rich biodiversity and is the land known for more than 500 different species of Orchids, 11 Oak species, 23 different varieties of Bamboo trees, and over 400 different medicinal plants.
• Khangchendzonga National park is one of the highest national parks in the world and includes World’s third highest mountain Kangchenjunga. Yak and musk deer are the main animals found in Sikkim
• Sikkim has the largest area for Cardamom production and also it is the highest producer of large cardamom in India.
• Rumtek and Phodong monasteries are the most famous religious spots depicting the Buddhist culture of Sikkim.
• Gurudongmar lake & Tsomgo lake which are situated at a height of 5180 meters and 3700 meters respectively are sacred lakes as per Buddhist beliefs

• Statue of Padmasambhava (Guru Rinpoche) in the south district is considered as the patron of Sikkim as per Buddhist beliefs.

TRAVEL TIPS

Sikkim Climate: Sikkim’s climate ranges from subtropical in the south to tundra in the north.
Summer:
March to mid-June. Temperatures –minimum 13 to maximum 28 degrees. Pleasant in summer.
Monsoon:
Monsoon prevails from late June to early September. During Monsoons, a landslide is a common sight all the way through Sikkim. Annual rainfall is 325 mm average.
Autumn:
Autumn stays from September to October providing a nice time for tourists to visit the state.
Winter:
Winters are heavy in Sikkim. The temperature ranges from a minimum of 0 to a maximum 12 degrees. The northern portion receives heavy snowfalls during winters.

BEST TIME TO VISIT

the best time to visit Sikkim is either between March and May or October and mid-December. If you want to witness the blooming natural beauty in Gangtok best season to visit would be in spring, from March to May. Autumn, on the other hand, brings a clear view of the Himalayan Range. If you wish to experience snowfall then the best time to visit is between December to Februarys.
