Itinerary

Day 1
PICK UP FROM DELHI RAILWAY STATION/AIRPORT. (215 KMS: 6 HRS. TRAVELING TO HARIDWAR)

• Start Yatra from Delhi to Haridwar.
• Check-In at Haridwar Hotel, Take Welcome Drink (Non-Alcoholic)
• In the evening you can visit the world-famous Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri.
• Dinner & Overnight Stay at Haridwar.

Day 2
HARIDWAR TO HARSIL (265 KMS:8-9 HOURS TRAVELING TO HARSIL)

• After breakfast, Check Out from Hotel, Depart for Harsil.
• Evening free for rest.
• Dinner & Overnight Stay at Harisil.

Day 3
HARSIL TO UTTRAKASHI (75 KMS- 3 HRS TO REACH UTTRAKASHI)

•After Breakfast move for Uttarkashi.
•Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated between two rivers: Varuna and Ashi, whose water flows into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 meters, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or ‘Uttar facing the river. The major temple is the Vishwanath Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Uttarkashi to Gangotri to Uttarkashi (95 km. – 3 -4 Hrs. Travelling to reach Gangotri)
•Gangotri temple is 18th Century temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga. It is located near a sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. Accordingly to another legend, Pandavas performed the great “Deva Yagna” here to atone the death of their kinsmen in the epic battle of Mahabharata. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite.
•Gangnani:-Further up on way to Gangotri, is the hot water spring at Gangnani, where one can have the refreshing bath in the Kund called Rishikund. There is a temple near the kund dedicated to the Sage Parashar, believed to be the father of Ved Vyas.
•Take Dinner at Hotel & Overnight Stay at Uttarkashi.

Day 4
UTTRAKASHI TO GUPTKASHI (240 KMS- 9 HRS TO REACH GUPTKASHI)

• After breakfast, move for Guptkashi.
• Leave very early in the morning for an almost a day-long drive to Guptkashi
• Dinner & Overnight Stay at Guptkashi.

Day 5
GUPTKASHI TO KEDARNATH (35 KM BY VEHICLE & 21KM BY FOOT)

•After breakfast, start Yatra for 3rd Dham Kedarnath.
•The present temple built in the 8th Century A.D. by Adi Guru Shankaracharya lies adjacent to the site of an ancient temple built by Pandavas. The temple has a conical lingam – the main idol, a statue of Nandi – the celestial bull, a ‘Garba Grah’ for worship, and a man dap for assemblies of pilgrims and visitors. The temple is more than 1000 years old.
•Bhaironath Temple:-About half a kilometer away from Kedarnathji, a small temple is dedicated to Bhaironath. It is worshipped on the opening and closing day of the Sri Kedarnath Shrine. It is believed that when the Kedarnathji temple is closed. Bhaironathji protects this land from evil.

Day 6
KEDARNATH TO GUPTKASHI (21 KM BY FOOT & 35 KM BY VEHICLE)

• After breakfast, move for Guptkashi.
• Full day free to explore the Guptkashi.
• Dinner & Overnight Stay at Guptkashi

Day 7
GUPTKASHI TO BADRINATH (190 KMS-8 HRS TO REACH BADRINATH)

•After breakfast, Start Yatra for 4th Dham Badrinath.
•Only Original Char Dham as proposed by Adi Guru Shankaracharya Cradled in the twin Mountain ranges of Nar and Narayan is the holiest of the four main shrines – Badrinath along the left bank of river Alaknanda with the towering Neelkantha Peaks as the splendid backdrop. Once the spot was carpeted with ‘badris” or wild berries and hence was famous as Badri van. Legend has it when the Ganga was requested to descend to earth to help suffering humanity; the earth was unable to withstand the force of its descent. Therefore the mighty Ganga was split into 12 holy channels. Alaknanda was one of them that later became the abode of Lord Vishnu or Badrinath.
•Narad Kund:- A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
•Brahama Kapal:- It is a flat platform a few yards north of the temple and on the bank of river Alaknanda. It is an important place for a shradh ceremony or offering of pounds to ensure a heavenly place for dead ancestors or manes. It is said that offering pind here, the manes are permanently enshrined in heaven and no more pinds are to be done elsewhere ever afterward. Legends have it that when Shiva chopped of the fifth head of Brahma, it got stuck to his trident. Lastly with the blessing of Lord Vishnu at Badrivan, the head of Brahma fell down from the trident at this place & hence the name Brahma-Kapal (head).
•Bhim Pul:- On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge lies over the roaring Saraswati River. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
•Vyas Gufa (cave):- Near Mana Village, this is a rock cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.
•Dinner & Overnight Stay at Badrinath.

Day 8
BADRINATH TO RUDRAPRAYAG (160 KMS- 7 HRS TO REACH RUDRAPRAYAG)

•After breakfast, Move for Rudrapryag.
•En route visit Vishnu Prayag which two river confluences Dhauli and Alaknanda River. Arrive at Joshimath and visit Adi Guru Sankaracharya.
•Dinner & Overnight Stay at Rudrapryag.

Day 9
RUDRAPRAYAG TO HARIDWAR (160 KMS- 7 HRS TO REACH HARIDWAR)

•After breakfast, move for Haridwar.
•On the way you can visit Rishikesh such as Prabhat Niketan, Ram Jhoola, Laxman Jhoola.
•Dinner & Overnight Stay at Haridwar.

Day 10
CHECK OUT FROM HARIDWAR (270 KMS- 7 HRS TO REACH DELHI)

•After Breakfast the journey begin to go back to Delhi
•Reaching at Airport by having Sweet memories in mind and lots of love.

FACTS

Every evening at sunset priests perform Ganga Aarti on the banks of river Ganga at Har Ki Pauri, Haridwar. A large number of people gather every day on both sides of the banks of the river Ganges to sing their praises. This looks so beautiful and serene, one should never miss this if you are visiting Haridwar.
Tungnath is the highest Lord Shiva temple in the World. Tungnath literally means (Lord of Peaks) mountains forms the Alaknanda and Mandakini River Valleys
Jim Corbett National park of Nainital district is the oldest national park of India which was established in 1936 for the protection of tigers.
The Emblem of Uttarakhand shows a mountain ridge with the flow of the holy river Ganga and in the mid of the mountain peaks in the National emblem of India showing Satyamev Jayate.
The two most sacred rivers as per the beliefs of Hindus Ganga and Yamuna originate from Uttarakhand State. While Ganga originates from Gangotri and Yamuna originates from Yamunotri.
Nanda Devi is the highest peak of Uttarakhand with an altitude of 7816 meters. This also the second highest peak of India after Kanchenjunga
Tehri Dam built on the Bhagirathi River near Tehri Garhwal in is the tallest dam in India
There is two famous mountaineering institute which is in Uttarakhand. first is Nehru institute of Mountaineering situated in Uttarkashi, Another one is Pandit Nain Singh Surveyor Mountaineering training institute situated m in Munsiyari in Pithoragarh District
Uttarakhand is the only state in India that has Sanskrit as its official language.

Summer:
March to mid-June. Temperatures –minimum 22 to maximum 37 °C. Sunny days and pleasant nights.
Monsoon:
Monsoon prevails from late June to early September. During Monsoons, heavy rains prevail, the temperature ranges from 20 to 25 °C
Winter:
October to February. The temperature ranges from a minimum of 3°C to a maximum of 15 °C. The northern portion receives heavy snowfalls during winters. It’s cold & dry. Occasional snowfall between December to March. Auli In the high mountains is famous for winter sports.

Best Time to Visit:
March to April and September to October are considered the best time to visit Uttarakhand. The state has wonderful weather all through the year. Trekking, Paragliding, and The Char Dham Yatra are the most popular activities during Summer, which is also the Peak Season in Uttarakhand. If you are interested in snow sports then visit Uttarakhand in winter. There are also many treks in winter.

Local Languages: Hindi is one of the major languages of Uttarakhand and is spoken by the majority of the population. Garhwali is a regional language that is spoken in the northwestern Garhwal region of Uttarakhand. Kumaoni is another dominant regional language of the state of Uttarakhand from the Kumaon region. It’s a Pahari language. January is a language that is spoken by the Jaunsari tribal community. English is widely spoken as Uttarakhand gets a lot of international tourists.

Clothing: The Traditional Attire of men in the Kumaon Region of Uttarakhand is Kurta Pyjama or a Churidaar paired with a turban or the cap. The women in Uttarakhand wear a long skirt that is called Ghagri along with choli and orni. The bridal dress of the local people here is lehenga, Ghaghra, and choli, and also ghagra Pechora or Rangwali.

HOW TO REACH

By air – The airports, where the flights from different states fly in, go by the name of Pantnagar Airport which is situated in the Pantnagar in Kumaon Region, Jolly Grant situated in Dehradun, and Naini Saini Airport in the Pithoragarh. Jolly Grant is the most well-connected of the three airports in Uttarakhand and Pithoragarh is yet to open for the public.
By rail – Easing up the connection for the tourists, Uttarakhand railways department is maintaining 16 big and small railway stations which connect Uttarakhand with Lucknow, Delhi, Kolkata, and to several other major cities, towns in India. Haridwar, Dehradun, Kathgodam, Rudrapur, Tanakpur, Pantnagar are a few railways stations that are making traveling easy inside the state as well as from other parts of the country.
By road, Roadways offers the best connectivity in the state. There are well-connected highways like NH 108, NH 109, NH 119, NH 121, NH 123, and NH 72A that connect the state with other parts of the country. With an efficient bus unit, Uttarakhand offers excellent accessibility. Taxis are also available to most of the destinations in the state, and thus, is the best mode of transport. you can hire a vehicle for the duration of the entire tour.

Moving around: The bus is the cheapest mode of transport. We recommend hiring a car with a driver as the best way to see the countryside.
