Day 1
ARRIVE COLOMBO

Arrive, Colombo. Transfer to Kandy – En-route Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage.
Arrive at Colombo airport, Pick up from the airport. Drive to Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery, and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Later drive to Kandy. Arrive & check-in. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2
KANDY CITY TOUR

Your full-day tour will visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, spice gardens, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. See the Kandy viewpoint and its surroundings. In the afternoon, you will visit the Gem Museum, a wood crafting workshop, and view a cultural dance. Sri Dalada Maligawa or the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a Buddhist temple in the city of Kandy.

Day 3
DRIVE TO NUWARA ELIYA. VISIT TEA FACTORY, TEA GARDENS & HANUMAN TEMPLE.

Welcome to the World of endless tea plantations and the finest tea factories! Sri Lanka is famed for producing some of the best quality tea on Earth. Sri Lanka is one of the world’s largest exporters of tea with a roaring tea industry that dominates the island’s central highlands. Hanuman Temple is a holy temple from the Epic Ramayana period made here in the memory of Hanuman who stayed at this place before rescuing Seetha from the SeethaEliya where there is Sri Seetha Amman Temple today.

Day 4
NUWARA ELIYA CITY TOUR - VISIT SEETHAMMAN TEMPLE & VICTORIA PARK

Seetha Amman Temple is located approximately 1 kilometer from Hakgala Botanical Garden and 5 Kilometres from Nuwara Eliya. The temple is located in the village of Seetha Eliya. Victoria Park is a public park located in Nuwara Eliya, next to the Nuwara Eliya Post Office in Sri Lanka. Originally the park was the research field of Hakgala Botanical Garden. The park was formally named in 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee.

Day 5
DAY FRAA AT YOUR LEISURE. OPTIONAL - THE GREGORY LAKE

Go fishing at Gregory Lake. It is popular among travelers for fishing but you can also hire a rowing boat, Swan paddle boat, or a water scooter to explore the scenic lake. Evening visit bale Bazar- Nuwara Eliya is famous for its winter market also known as the Bale Bazar which is popular among the locals as it offers a huge variety of winter clothes.

Day 6
DRIVE TO BENTOTA - VISIT KITULGALA, DROP AT HOTEL & REST

Check out & drive to Bentota. Visit Kitugalia – Kitulgala is a small town in the west of Sri Lanka. It is in the wet zone rain forest, which gets two monsoons each year, and is one of the wettest places in the country. Nevertheless, it comes alive in the first three months of the year, especially in February, the driest month. If interested you can take adventurous rafting. Arrive & check-in at the hotel

Day 7
VISIT TURTLE FARM & BENTOTA CITY TOUR , MADHU RIVER BOAT RIDE

You can see the process of the life cycle from egg to growth and you can hold a couple of baby turtles in your hands. SRILANKA -TRAVEL INFORMATION

Indian National requires a visa to travel to Sri Lanka. The travel authority is issued online. The entire tourist must carry the ETA while on tour. You must have more than 6 months validity on your passport from the intended date of return. Return air ticket, Travel itinerary & hotel booking is required

Immigration at Bandaranaike International Airport is straightforward. Customs Regulations
Sri Lanka has the usual list of prohibited imports, including drugs, weapons, fresh fruit, and anything remotely pornographic.

DON’T: take pictures of people without permission

DO: cover up when required & dress appropriately: Sri Lankans are incredibly friendly and welcoming of tourists in their country. However it is a very conservative nation and you will be expected to dress as such in public, and sacred, sites. For women, it’s a good idea to keep a scarf in your daypack to cover up your shoulder

DON’T: take a selfie with Buddha

Sri Lanka has a zero-tolerance for tourists with Buddha tattoos. In fact, there have been cases in the past wherein tourists with Buddha tattoos have been arrested and deported. If you have Buddha Tatoo, hide it.

DO NOT consume tap water. Stick to bottled water

Many times ATMs do not work in Srilanka so keep some cash with you. You can always head to a bank to exchange currency in case your card doesn’t work. Another important point to note is that most of the banks in Sri Lanka shut at 3 pm. it is advisable to carry USD, Euro, or Pound in Sri Lanka

Indian and European plugs had two spikes but could fit the Sri Lankan plugs without a problem.

Smoking is prohibited in many indoor public places and workplaces and on public transport. However, smoking is permitted in smoking areas or spaces in airports, hotels having 30 rooms or more, and restaurants having a seating capacity of a minimum of 30 persons.

The older generation of Sri Lankans will use the “namaste” (palms clasped together as if in prayer at chin level with a slight nod of the head). The Sinhalese may say “ayubowan.” (may you be blessed with a long life)
When addressing people you should always use the appropriate title followed by the surname.
